Abstract:
The aim of this research was to develop the thinking skills of the second-year
students of the Geography Division by interacting with GIS through the Internet. The
research sample consisted of (50) students from the Second Division / Geography
Division, Faculty of Education, Helwan University .
The researcher reviewed the courses of the first and second chapters, the
Geography Division for the second year students, in order to determine the
comprehensiveness of organizational thinking skills. The researcher then prepared a list
of the thinking skills of the system in geography after reviewing several sources and
previous studies as well as a number of courses. As well as the required equivalence
for the development of organizational thinking skills, which were introduced and
implemented through the design of GIS for the Internet. The researcher used a scale of
systematic thinking skills in geography for students of the second division,
Geographically .
The search resulted in several results, the most important of which are:
- There is a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.01) between the
average scores of the experimental group students in the tribal and remote application
of the systematic thinking scale for the benefit of the remote application.
- The magnitude of the impact of GIS techniques reached (0.8) when measured
by the equation of the ETA box (h²) in the development of systemic thinking skills.
